Sturbridge Village Charm by Judie Rothermel

Judie Rothermel’s newest line for Marcus Fabrics takes its cue from the early New England textiles kept at Old Sturbridge Village. Sturbridge Village Charm brings back the look of fabric from the 1800s. It mixes small florals, berry vines, classic stripes, little geometrics and the plain shirtings that make a scrappy quilt look authentic. The palette uses deep turkey reds, indigo and navy blues, soft creams, sage greens, warm browns and muted golds. These are the shades quilters expect from a true reproduction collection. Use the line for traditional pieced quilts, Civil War–era reproductions, period home décor or heirloom projects. It also mixes easily with Judie’s earlier Marcus Fabrics reproduction lines, so it’s a natural addition to an existing stash. Marcus Fabrics prints the Sturbridge Village Charm collection on a premium 44 inch wide cotton quilting fabric. Hancock's sells Strubridge Village Charm quilting fabrics by the yard, fat quarters, ten inch squares, five inch squares, jelly roll fabric strips, and quilt kits.
