Glorious Garden by the Smithsonian Institution

Glorious Garden brings floral designs from the Smithsonian Institution archives to quilting cotton, in a collaboration with Marcus Fabrics. The palette mixes teal, sage and green with plum, mauve, lilac, gold, yellow and soft cream and ivory. The eight prints run from large-scale florals (Flowing Floral, Garden, Bouquet) to packed and tossed flowers (Packed Flowers, Field Flowers, Flower Patch) and lighter fillers (Dandelions, Wispy). That range makes it easy to plan a full quilt from this one line. Marcus Fabrics prints Glorious Garden on a premium 44 inch wide cotton quilting fabric with a 60 square construction (120 thread count). Hancock's of Paducah sells Charlotte's Chalet quilting fabrics by the yard, in fat quarters, in fabric strips, in ten inch squares, in five in squares, and in quilt kits. Shipping in November.
