Kaffe Fassett at Hancock's of Paducah in 2017.

Kaffe Fassett is an American-British textile designer, artist and author known for his colorful and bold use of pattern in his fabric designs. He is particularly known for his work in the field of quilting fabrics and knitting, and has written several books on these subjects. Kaffe Fassett began his career as a painter and later turned to textile design, creating fabrics, wallpapers, and other decorative items. He has also designed for stage productions and has collaborated with fashion designers such as Bill Gibb and Missoni. He has been honored with a number of awards for his contributions to the world of textile design.
Hancock's of Paducah began selling Kaffe Fassett fabrics in 1998 under the marketing of Westminster Fibers. The first patterns offered were his Roman Glass and Lotus Leaf design colors. Twenty-four years later, you can still buy those fabrics from Hancock's of Paducah. We have long admired Kaffe Fassett's use of bold and bright colors. Kaffe's colorations illuminate his fabric designs. Fellow designers Brandon Mably & Philip Jacobs create equally beautiful fabrics that coordinate perfectly with Kaffe's collections. Brandon Mably is known for graphic patterns that focus on geometric & abstract shapes. Philp Jacob for his classic botanic floral patterns saturated in bold colors. We eagerly await Free Spirit Fabrics' biannual release of new design vehicles for Kaffe's extraordinary color combinations.
