Judie Rothermel collaborated with the New England Quilt Museum to create the Union Forever collection by Marcus Fabrics. The Museum recently exhibited an original "potholder" quilt from the Civil War. Usually made by a group for wounded soldiers, each block was one foot square, quilted, and bound, using a similar technique as that used to make potholders. These small, bound blocks were then whipstitched together to make a full sized quilt. A real part of our quilting heritage. Premium 44" cotton. Sold in continuous half yard increments.
