Judie Rothermel collaborated with the New England Quilt Museum to create the Union Forever collection by Marcus Fabrics. The Museum recently exhibited an original "potholder" quilt from the Civil War. Usually made by a group for wounded soldiers, each block was one foot square, quilted, and bound, using a similar technique as that used to make potholders. These small, bound blocks were then whipstitched together to make a full sized quilt. A real part of our quilting heritage.
Jean Ann Wright dutifully reproduced the Civil War artifact to create her quilt that measures 60" x 84". Kit available: MF 4964 QK $199.99
