Howard Marcus followed his passion for beautiful antique fabrics to France. A French textile mill produced beautifully engraved fabrics, and the Mill Book documenting the Mill's production from 1835 was discovered. That Mill Book provides the inspiration for these fabulous and delicate reproduction fabrics. True to form, Moda has meticulously reproduced the patterns and the colors from this treasure trove of antique fabrics. These fabrics stand as a testament to our textile heritage as they appear as special, timely, and wonderful as they did almost 180 years ago. Printed on a premium 44" cotton. Hancock's quilt kit includes the fabrics for the top and binding plus the pattern. Finished quilt measures 72" by 72".
This collection is part of Moda's Collection for a Cause. Howard Marcus's other passion has been giving back. Proceeds from the sale of these fabrics will be donated to the American Quilt Study Group, promoting the advancement and education of quilting.
